Hey!
I haven't updated my journal in forever...so now it is. I just got back from Florida, went to the Atlanta auto show yesterday and saw a movie called Spartan. Only 6 weeks left of school, then back to Florida for the summer. That's it for now. | | Tuesday, November 18th, 2003 | | 6:52 pm |
Found my dream home
I took a tour today of an incredible house in Atlanta today for a class. The reason we went there is because the house is fully automated (lights, HVAC, home theater, security, audio, etc.) and is owned by the founder of the company, who also founded the cable modem. The house itself was 31,000,000 (!) sq. ft. and we estimated at least $15 mil. In the basement was a home theater closed off by doors, that open when you walk up to them, and the sound was awesome. I took only two pics of the home's outside, but none of the inside for privacy reasons...but believe me the inside was like that of a castle. Well, back to the reality of daily life until I invent something better than the cable modem. I have to conduct interviews for the judiciary cabinet I'm a "justice" for tonight and Thursday night. Only one more week until I come back for Thanksgiving. | | Thursday, November 13th, 2003 | | 4:03 pm |
Paris Hilton's old phone number
I read something at 10:45am that Paris Hilton's cell phone number was 310-990-7444. So I called it and got her Sprint voicemail box, with her saying her name. I did not choose to page her. This was apparently a tipoff from her ex-boyfriend who posted the number on the Internet, and within hours there were so many calls that the number was disconnected. Unfortunately, you can no longer call and hear her voice. I got my stitches out and it looks like the cut will heal ok. | | Saturday, November 8th, 2003 | | 3:01 pm |
unexpected incurrence
I haven't posted in a long time, so I thought I'd give my latest news. Well, yesterday I incurred something unexpected. I was helping unload food for our vending machine into the food closet. Someone went into this closet (a small room), which is closed off by an unsprung door, locked by a bolt. Then some joker closed the door when the first guy walked in and put the lock through the metal holes, but didn't lock it. I walk up to the door with a flat of soda and undo the lock while a few people are laughing....BAM! The person inside thought I was locking it, so he kicked it full force and the door or the metal piece hit me right in the forehead. At first I didn't think I was hit because it hurt so much I couldn't feel it, and I was hoping I was wasn't, then I saw all the blood, and it just kept flowing. By this time a crowd of people were looking at me saying "holy shit," so I knew it wasn't good, and people were putting towels all over my forehead to clean up the mess, and someone else was mopping the floor. I was then driven to the school health center, where they put 7 stitches in the center of my forehead, and I cut up part of my nose, and got a tetanus shot. So that really fucking sux. I tried calling Keith this week, but he hasn't picked up his phone. Have fun at the concert. | | Saturday, November 1st, 2003 | | 1:06 pm |
Wednesday's South Park
Who saw it? It was hilarious. They crossed the line with the Jesus thing, which made it hilarious. Also the musicians being greedy and wanting more for themselves, there was lots of irony. Cartman writes the lyrics for a song that says "cant wait to get on my knees and please jesus, feel his love on my face." | | 3:12 am |
I'm drunk
things are spinning....and that's cool. I haven't posted in a while, more to come. Later | | Tuesday, October 14th, 2003 | | 11:14 pm |
4 day weekend
Well, I got back today from my trip to UF over my 4 day weekend. I went with 3 other friends (fraternity bros), and we started our trip on Friday afternoon, but car troubles 8 miles into the journey left us to restart our trip Saturday afternoon. So Fri night we hung out with a pledge and his 25 yr old brother at a weak party. He was passing thru Atlanta, and was showing us his gun and had a "pharmacy" in the back of his Durango...put 2 and 2 together. When we got there, we decided to stay at someone's 5 bedroom house among a neighborhood inhabited by other students. We slept on sofas for 3 nights. Went to a party the first night at a house, and I couldn't put together a logical thought when leaving. The next day, we went to eat lunch with one of my friend's from high school, and I forget what happened that night. The next day we hung with friends of one of the guys I went with. Then got bitched out by this girl who is a sister of a fraternity brother for not hanging out with her, which was not the intent of our trip...it reminded me of Anne that bitch whore. I think we watched some sports games, played pool, and drank for the rest of the trip. So now I have to get back in the routine of going to class, but at least it's a short week. | | Saturday, September 27th, 2003 | | 11:59 pm |
All worn out
It's now midnight and I had to waste my fucking Saturday night (since 6pm)splitting up logs because this shit has to get out of our house's yard cuz of homecoming. Yesterday I helped run all the branches through a wood chipper. I'm so fucking weak right now, though...it took 2 hours to split one of the logs with a chainsaw and wedge with sledgehammer. I'll send Keith some pics of what I've been doing since I'm too lazy to figure out how to post them to LJ. Oh yea, I went to services this morning, and now I'm drinking some beer. | | Sunday, September 21st, 2003 | | 5:12 pm |
Some pics of bangbus
Ok, here are some pics of the bangbus we made yesterday. We drove it around campus and asked if any girls wanted rides...and it has to be the most illegal vehicle on the road. | | Friday, September 19th, 2003 | | 4:08 pm |
Haven't read the site in a while
I haven't read this website in 5 days or so, I don't know why. This weeks happenings: 1. I had a quiz today...it was ok. 2. A dog crapped on my floor. It belongs to the person down the hall. Next time it happens, I will smear the crap all over his wall, bed, and clothes. Thankfully, no stains on my carpet, but it's just fucking disgusting to know that it happened. 3. GT football game tomorrow at home...should be fun. 4. A friend and I will cut the roof of a van off tomorrow as well with a saw of some sort so the van can be used as a float. 5. Still no new girls here at school, same ol shit. I need to find a date for a weekend event in a month though. 6. I heard my first case as a justice on the undergraduate judiciary cabinet. The case was kinda dumb, but the process was neat. 7. A friend has a friend who goes to school in Indiana but lives in Atlanta and drives a BMW M Coupe, which he left at home, and said we could use it if we go to his house and ask his parents for the keys. Reminded me of Eric...lol. I'm not sure if he was joking, but my friend didn't think he was. 8. Keith, who is Kristin? Nothing else at this time. Later | | Sunday, September 7th, 2003 | | 12:12 pm |
An exhilirating ballgame
Yesterday the Georgia Tech football team played Auburn at home and won 17-3. It was not expected, so the crowd emptied out onto the field and tore down the goalposts. They were then marched through the narrow streets, sometimes dropping the goalpost on top of a car if not enough people were helping to support its weight. I watched 5 people step on a Toyota Camry's roof at one time to help lift the post, and of course a few fights broke out...it was absolute pandomonium. When the posts made it to the President's house, everyone who was there was rushing to claim their piece of the post because they would soon be cut up with saws and torches. Finally, a friend and I got to cut our piece with a hacksaw because the cops took away all power tools and torches, so after 2 hours of waiting and 5 min of cutting, I have a piece of the goalpost. | | Monday, September 1st, 2003 | | 4:52 pm |
Designated Driver duties
Some friends from school in my fraternity went to a wedding last night of someone who recently graduated. I picked them up because the person providing the car didn't trust anyone else. So I get there and they tell me to come up to the 19th floor of the hotel. Well, there were about 50 bottles of champagne in this room, and they were in the process of consuming them. Needless to say, the ride on the way back created a mess on a few sidewalks. Today there is a barbecue at our house, and my cold has almost vanished. Keith, I am assuming it was Brian's b-day, and that he now has a sports car in his driveway for you to drive, despite someone else writing the rules for him:) | | Thursday, August 28th, 2003 | | 11:55 pm |
VMA's
I watched the VMA's tonight and was disappointed with the direction of today's music, but what else is new? Timberlake is such a fag, and Good Charlotte sucks dick. Metallica's Frantic wasn't that good live, but their new music is hard to listen to. And I fucking missed the beginning when Madonna and Britney Spears latched on to each other's tongues. I now have a small blacklight in my room so I'm writing in the dark while stuff glows. Three day weekend coming up...nice. Oh yea, I talked to Eric last night, he said his dorm had a meeting about people missing the toilet when taking a #2...lol! | | Tuesday, August 26th, 2003 | | 7:36 pm |
Second week of school
I came down with a cold, I think it's related to the sofa I put in my room from downstairs. It's old and probably has STD's and shit on it, and I had to cut the arm off with a circular saw so that it would fit into the cavity of my wall under my bed. I will steamvac the hell out of this thing tomorrow, since it will be a pain in the ass to remove it at this point, and that's my last resort. Classes have been going ok. Don't know what else to say... | | Saturday, August 16th, 2003 | | 12:24 pm |
Back at school
oh...back to school...back to school. I finished painting my room a few days ago and put down new carpet. I don't have to share a room with anyone this year, and I hope that I never have to again. My room is damn nice now compared to the other piles of shit in this house. I'll attach some pics one day when it is all clean. I start class again Monday. I've had to do a lot of bullshit work for the fraternity to get the place clean, and have to eat meals with some tools that think they show interest in the place, but it's like talking to a bag of rocks for some of them. Damn, reminds me of someone else:) I hope the lives of those who read this haven't fallen apart with my disappearance to go back to school. | | Thursday, July 24th, 2003 | | 8:12 pm |
After THREE MONTHS of not going to this website...
I'm back...wow, what a great audience. I just read the comments on Keith's LJ and Joe wrote some hilarious shit about Jeff. I only know him as the sweaty kid and have only had the pleasure of seeing him once, from what I recollect. Well, I have around two more weeks left in Florida before heading back to school, so I hope the rest of my time here isn't too boring...maybe I'll just stroke myself if need be. Actually I will be doing that when Keith gets the pics developed of the McLaren we saw. And Eric's sister can stroke me when she gets back, those pics we saw of her were smokin'. I like Joe's references to the mods. Unfortunately in a college environment there are way too many of these hipster faggots spreading their flamboyant disapproval of what they think is the norm, while the rest of us just ignore their homosexuality. Mods are just closet fags, and are what Michael Jackson would look like if he hadn't already established another gay image for himself. But enough about that crap, I'd like to go on Keith's boat again before I leave, and I won't be going to Warp Tour. Later | | Sunday, May 25th, 2003 | | 12:02 am |
A few weeks worth of catching up!
First I'd like to say, "Wow what a great audience....very much!" And "penis!"...um scratch that. So I'm at Keith's house now, we went to Sawgrass with Eric and took some more pics. I've been having a good time at home, much better than the school year. Physics is going ok, I should get my first test back Tuesday. Keith leaves for his cruise sometime soon. He should post the pics soon. Over and out. Hi Krysta, hope you're having a blast with your sleepover buddies. | | Thursday, May 8th, 2003 | | 11:36 am |
I'm a prisoner at my house today
One of our A/C units at home broke the other day and the guys showed up this morning to install a new unit. But since my mom works on Thursdays, I have to stay home while these clowns do their job. So I think Eric is coming over in the afternoon and he'll bring one of his gaming systems with him. The past two days I have gone to the beach with friends from school who have been down here visiting. Four black kids wanted to start a game of football with 4 of us white boys cuz they saw us throwing the ball around. We played, and obviously mixed up the teams, and I avoided a black kid who was diving right at me to tackle me to the ground, and somehow maneuvered around it to avoid broken bones and scored a touchdown. I also got 2 A's and 2 B's this past semester, as well as a W for withdrawing from physics, but because of that I was able to devote more time to my other classes so I got decent grades. It also raised my GPA more than I had expected, which is exactly what I need. However, I will be starting my new physics class on Monday. Hope to see you guys and girl soon. | | Friday, April 25th, 2003 | | 1:00 pm |
I don't know what to call this entry
I was up kinda late last night. Since it's the last week of actual school, all the graduating seniors in my fraternity spoke of their experiences and there was "some" intoxication. It lasted 9 hours, but I also had a powerpoint to work on as well until 3a.m. Then I woke up at 7:45 to work on it more with my group, and we finally got that shit over with today. I have no idea what I'm doing this weekend and I'm about to go to my last class of the semester. I hope you guys have fun with the concert and grad nite and whatever else may be going on. Later. | | Monday, April 21st, 2003 | | 3:32 pm |
Latest news with me
I've been kinda busy recently, but this week the pace is slowing down. My roomate has been gone for the past week, but he returns tonight. I whored out my roomate's bed to someone else in the house while he was gone since he had some friends come in for a few days. I also cleaned the room for the most part since my roomate is a slob and the room is really small, so I was tripping over his shit to answer the phone. Oh yea, the funniest thing (for some) was when I discovered a container on his side with food that could've been 2 months old, no joke. So someone took the container and was fumbling it around. One thing led to another and I kicked the container, and the food splattered down the floor in the hall. We laughed our ass off knowing it was gonna happen, but it quickly began to smell like vomit...it was awful. We spent an hour cleaning that shit and it took hours to ventilate, but the smell was gone by the time we got back from dinner. I should've dumped it on my roomate's head for being so nasty as to keep it in the room. On Saturday there was a Pearl Jam concert that I missed out on because the person I was going to buy a ticket from sold it to some girl who had every intention to play him off and not go, so I missed out, but the guy is a tool and I don't feel bad for him losing his money on that. I've been trying to arrange my schedule for next fall, but there are so many obstacles. I want to take 5 classes that are next in my sequence, and I'm signed up for 2 because of conflicts...too many to try to explain. Long story short, my advisor thinks she can get me into what I need during the summer before school starts again, and can't do anything about it now, but it's the same situation for a lot of people in my major. They really make it as challenging as they can to let students graduate in 4 years time. Well, I hope everything is going well in Florida, I booked a plane ticket home today for Saturday May 3. I was originally going to be driving back, but that didn't work out, and so I ended up using my free Air Tran ticket for one way. Unfortunately, Air Tran won't let me use the other half of the free 2-way ticket to use at a later date, nor will they let me upgrade to business class. So fuck them for hosing me on that deal. See everyone in like 2 weeks. Brad |
